Skin Treatments
“From mild rashes and itchy bumps to crusty spots that ooze the best place to heal your pet’s skin is here at Silky Pet Spa.” While even the normal product we use has healing properties, we also offer two additional levels of skin treatments. When getting a skin treatment, all the other services we typically provide with our “Routine Spa Session” are still given.
Skin Restoration Treatment
This is for the pets that have itchy skin or red bumps.
- First, we apply a delicate exfoliating gel that has been dermatologically tested. Its vitamin micro-particles efficiently remove impurities and activate the production of new skin cells.
- Then, we apply Derma Complex cleansing solution (the first complete detergent ever made without SLS so it is very delicate on the skin plus it’s infused with keratin and nettle for maximum healing).
- Finally, we apply Derma Plus, a highly concentrated nourishing conditioner that, especially if applied regularly, will deeply nourish the derma and hair ensuring their wellbeing.
Each of these phases soak on the pet for 5 minutes and is rinsed off before the next step.
Infected Skin Treatment
This is for pets that have crusty spots or spots that ooze. It can be for any broken skin or even as a preventative for pets exposed to another pet with a skin infection.
- The first step is the same as the Mineral Red treatment: we apply a delicate exfoliating gel that has been dermatologically tested. Its vitamin micro-particles efficiently remove impurities and activate the production of new skin cells.
- Then, we apply a half and half mixture of antibacterial and antifungal shampoo. Pets naturally have bacteria and fungus on their skin and if you only apply one or the other, you are paving the way for the other to wreak havoc as nature designed them to be in competition in order to balance each other out. Both shampoos we use are extremely healing for the skin and coat.
- Finally, we apply a soothing conditioner infused with ginger and elderberry with some drops of Mineral H to restore the pH balance of the skin and coat.
Each of these phases soak on the pet for 5 minutes and is rinsed off before the next step.
